You can help the channel grow, and develop – often it won´t actually cost you anything.
How?, you may ask?
Ways you can help is by ordering or arranging some things you would normally arrange, but by using our affiliate links, the channel gets some commission- this typically will go towards equipment such as cameras, mics, etc. In 2023 alone we´ve bought a new Go-Pro Hero 11, DJI dual wireless microphones, DJI Mobile 6 Gimbal, Ulanzi multi colour light and travel tripod.
We´ve noticed the difference in the quality of the finished videos (maybe not better quality in the content lol)- everything helps, and is appreciated.

Now, in 2022 Youtube introduced “Memberships”- not something we´ve really done much with. We did eventually activate the feature- not thinking anyone would actually take “join”. We went for the cheap option, and decided “if” anyone decided to be a member, we would set that money aside towards better equipment.
We´ve never really promoted the feature, but knew there needed to be some tangible benefit for those that decided to become a channel member. There´s a few weekend vlogs we never released- they were made available, and there´s also a few of Helen´s recipes been made available. We decided, though, that the typical content we do for everyone will not change.
We started to gain a few members towards the end of 2023. An opportunity arose when Helen created something that didn´t really warrant it´s own video on Youtube, but was quick and easy to film and edit.
Fast forward a few more months and Youtube gave us the opportunity to “gift” 10 memberships per month. These are in a block of 5, and can be gifted during a premiere or live stream. They are also gifted randomly by Youtube- something we have no control over (even Bob hasn´t got one!)
So to date, we have gifted most of our Youtube memberships. Other members have also gifted memberships (thanks!)- but it´s not the “be all and end all” and isn´t a requirement. We recently did a “live” for channel members (Torrevieja Carnaval)- but knew if we did a live stream onto Youtube fully, it would cause us …”issues” with copyright for the music. We did the live stream and filmed it separately for inclusion in our weekend vlog- so nobody has missed out.
Hopefully that answers some of the concerns/ criticisms regarding Channel memberships. If we had no Channel members tomorrow (all are appreciated) it would´t impact us- we´re grateful for each and every view/ comment/ subscription and appreciate any feedback we get- either via social media, comments on the channel, or in person….
