If you’re planning a visit to Toledo, Spain, and looking for somewhere special to eat, Cervecería La Abadía could be well worth adding to your list. We visited this popular restaurant twice during our stay in Toledo, sampling both its evening tasting menu and its lunchtime tapas, and we were impressed on both occasions!

Set inside a fascinating historic building spread across multiple levels, Cervecería La Abadía offers a dining experience with plenty of character. But it wasn’t just the building and the food that caught our attention… the toilets were something else entirely! 😂

🍽️ Our Evening Visit to Cervecería La Abadía

For our first visit, we headed to Cervecería La Abadía for an evening meal and decided to try the tasting menu.

There was a fantastic selection of dishes to enjoy, with some impressive flavours making it a memorable meal. The restaurant’s unique setting added to the experience, making it a great place to sit back, relax and enjoy an evening in the historic city of Toledo.

With its distinctive atmosphere and delicious food, we could certainly understand why this restaurant attracts so much attention.

☀️ Returning for Lunch in Toledo

We enjoyed our first visit so much that we were walking in the vicinity at lunch time on our travel day home, we decided to call in for lunch (instead of wandering aimlessly around the town) before leaving Toledo.

This time, we opted to share a selection of tapas and a sandwich, giving us the chance to try something different from the evening menu.

Once again, the food was fantastic! Everything we tried was enjoyable, and our second visit confirmed that our first experience hadn’t been a one-off.

Whether you’re looking for a relaxed lunch while exploring Toledo or somewhere to enjoy an evening meal, Cervecería La Abadía is worth considering.

Of course, no review of Cervecería La Abadía would be complete without mentioning the toilets!

We’ve visited plenty of restaurants over the years, but these were among the strangest we’ve ever come across. They certainly added an unexpected talking point to our visits!
