Nong Thai Restaurant, Ao Nang, Krabi – So Good We Went Back Twice!
We only planned to eat here once… but the food was so good, we came back for a second visit! 🇹🇭😂
During our Thailand travels, we headed to Nong Thai Restaurant in Ao Nang, Krabi, hoping to find some delicious Thai food at reasonable prices. We certainly weren’t disappointed – in fact, we enjoyed our first visit so much that we went back again!
If you’re staying in Ao Nang, Krabi and love Thai food, this is definitely a restaurant worth putting on your list.
Thai Food at Nong Thai Restaurant
Nong Thai is a relatively small Thai restaurant in Ao Nang, but don’t let its size fool you. There’s a good choice of dishes on the menu, with plenty of classic Thai favourites.
Across our visits, we tried:
- 🍛 Panang Curry
- 🍲 Tom Yum Soup
- 🥜 Chicken with Cashew Nuts
- 🦀 Crab Fried Rice
- 🍜 Pad See Ew
- 🐟 Seabass with Chilli
The Seabass with Chilli was definitely one of the dishes that stood out – and yes, it had a serious kick! 🌶️🔥
Everything we tried was packed with flavour, with generous portions and plenty of variety.
Great Food at Reasonable Prices
One of the things we really liked about Nong Thai Restaurant was that the food was delicious without breaking the bank.
When travelling around Thailand, it’s always great to find restaurants where you can enjoy good-quality food, generous portions and authentic Thai flavours without spending a fortune.
Nong Thai certainly ticked all those boxes for us.
So Good We Went Back Twice!
The biggest compliment we can give Nong Thai is that we went back for a second visit.
Ao Nang has plenty of restaurants to choose from, so returning to the same place meant missing out on trying somewhere new – but after our first meal, we knew we wanted to come back.
The second visit gave us another opportunity to try more of the menu, and once again, the food didn’t disappoint.
Is Nong Thai Restaurant Worth Visiting?
If you’re visiting Ao Nang or Krabi and looking for good Thai food at reasonable prices, we’d definitely recommend giving Nong Thai Restaurant a try.
We enjoyed the food, the portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable. And when a restaurant is good enough to make you come back during the same trip, that’s a pretty good recommendation!
