Episode 114 | Speciality Asian and Indian Supermarkets in Torrevieja | Torreta 2 Shops and bars

We start off with the latest updates from the park at La Siesta Torrevieja.

We then head to Torreta 2 and have a look at some of the bars and restaurants in that part of Torrevieja.

Bob´s started to grow his own Veg around the back of the garden

We also head into Torrevieja Town Centre and have a look at one of the largest Mercadona supermarkets in Alicante and discover some different offerings we haven´t seen before.

Across the road near the bus station there are 2 speciality supermarkets; one specialises in selling Asian foods, speciality Chinese foods speciality Thai foods (Durian fruit, anyone?) , etc. The other shop specialises in Indian foods- large packs of speciality flours, spices, rices, etc. We show you examples of the type of products you can buy in both stores.

Back at home it´s Saturday night and we make some great Asian inspired foods using some of the ingredients we bought.

Special Fried Rice, Spring Rolls, Garlic Ribs, Thai dipping sauce, duck breast with onions and garlic in a Peking Duck Sauce and Sesame Prawn Toast.

Sunday lunch is a variation of Arroz al Horno (oven baked rice) utilising some of the left over meat etc. from our meal at The Great Greek we visited on the Friday Night.
