Emigrating to Spain – part 1- Travel day to the UK
The plan was to collect Bob & Tigger during early December. Things in the UK started to deteriorate- the coronavirus figures were increasing, and since Helen´s mum had died, Bob had made gthe decision to move back to Spain to be with his daughter & granddaughters. Isolating on his own was not a good idea, so we looked into the possibility of bringing the trip forward. Tigger couldn´t come to Spain until after around the 5th of November, due to his rabies jabs. Speaking with the guys at Brittany Ferries (Bob had luckily booked a flexi ticket)- they managed to secure us a pet cabin for the crossing on the 11th November. Before all this, though, Helen had booked flights to go back to the UK with Chesca & Maddie for Bob´s birthday (before lockdown and covid etc. reared its ugly head) The flights had been changed by Ryan air, but it meant that they were now flying out of Spain on the 5th, returning on the 8th- the day before Bob´s birthday… but, the decision was made to help Bob finish packing as they movers were coming on the 9th or 10th…
So here´s the first video: Andy heading across Spain when internal borders are closed, from Torrevieja to Bilbao, skirting past Valencia and Zaragoza. Helen and the girls headed to Alicante for a flight to East Midlands airport…
