Stevie is a real character- and he also has a heart of gold.

He´s raised hundreds of thousands for local charities and good causes (Elche childrens home, Unicef, San Jose Orphanage, Big Reds Animal association, The Samaritans in Spain, PRYSM (Ukraine), The Red Cross, D.E.C. Action Aid, Royal British Legion, Happy Pets Rescue, Help at Home, Tommys, Men´s Shed San Fulgencio as well as countless individual causes (and that´s just in the last 2 years!) – for this he has been recognised, receiving a B.E.M. (British Empire Medal) for services to the expat community.

He helped us back in January 2019 when a local girl needed an operation on her spine. Stevie was Compare (just as Stevie, not in drag) and helped us raise 4.208€ on the night. (See Here:- https://casasespania.com/news/662/we-ve-got-your-back-millie/ )

Stevie was also the first act on at the newly refurbished function room at The Oasis San Luis. (This time, in drag!)

Stevie has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. In his own words;

“THANK YOU !!! I Have stage 4 Cancer in .Colon, Lungs, Liver In constant pain was gonna quietly fight this. But I cant ignore how Fucking amazing people have been THANK YOU.I start Chemo on Thursday 24 Weeks of sickbags now but Im not the first”

He´s not going to be able to work; in Spain as an autonomo this means very restricted income (if any)- and several bars/ restaurants/ organisations in the Orihuela Costa have stepped up and are arranging various events and activities to help Stevie.

We decided (Helen & Andy) that it´s time we helped Stevie from this side of the pink lake, here in Torrevieja.

We´re organising an auction for Stevies benefit. We´re asking local businesses if they can help with auction lots. The date of the auction is to be announced, along with the compare. Here´s a list of lots (and companies) that we have accumulated so far.

We´re only asking for auction lots that are experiences/ vouchers, not second hand items.

Items we´ve managed to secure so far; most will be auction lots, some will be raffle prizes.
