Spanish Cheese and Wine Experience in Torrevieja, Costa Blanca
If you’re looking for something a little different to do in Torrevieja, how about combining Spanish food, wine and spectacular coastal views?
We joined a fantastic Spanish cheese and wine experience at the historic Torre del Morro in Torrevieja, enjoying a selection of Spanish cheeses, Alicante wines and local olive oil while taking in views across the Mediterranean.
It was a great opportunity to discover more about Spanish gastronomy and sample some of the fantastic produce from different parts of Spain.
A Taste of Spain
The experience takes you on a culinary journey through Spain, with six different Spanish cheeses, each originating from a different region of the country.
It was interesting to discover the differences between the cheeses and learn more about where they come from, how they’re produced and what makes each one unique.
And, of course, cheese wouldn’t be complete without something to drink alongside it!
Alicante Wines and Spanish Olive Oil
Alongside the cheeses, we sampled a selection of red and white wines from the Alicante region.
Alicante has a long history of wine production, and this experience provides an opportunity to taste some of the region’s wines while learning more about them.
We also sampled quality local Spanish olive oil, another important part of Spanish food culture.
Together, the cheese, wine and olive oil made for a fantastic selection of Spanish flavours.
Torre del Morro, Torrevieja
One of the things that makes this experience particularly special is the setting.
Torre del Morro is a historic coastal watchtower overlooking the Mediterranean, and the location provides spectacular sea views while you enjoy the tasting.
It’s a very different way to experience Torrevieja and combines food and drink with a little bit of local history and scenery.
An Experience in English and Spanish
The experience is presented in both English and Spanish, making it accessible whether you’re a Spanish speaker or visiting Torrevieja from overseas.
It’s also a great opportunity to learn more about Spanish food, wine and local traditions while discovering produce from different parts of the country.

If you’re looking for things to do in Torrevieja, particularly something a little different from the usual beaches and tourist attractions, this cheese and wine experience is worth considering.
It’s suitable for food lovers, wine enthusiasts or anyone who wants to experience a different side of the Costa Blanca.
